Subnet reality

Which subnets do real work

Version one. What TAONIC measured through its own gateway, and what one public index estimates, kept apart and labelled.

Measured by TAONIC graphite · the gateway’s own records

What our gateway recorded through each route

One row per route that has had at least one real request, from the durable request records. A request counts as failed only when a provider was called and did not answer.

By simple division of the two estimates, counted revenue is under 12% of yearly emissions. These figures are the index’s, not TAONIC’s.

What this page does not tell you

  • Median latency and median cost per route. The accounting endpoint publishes counts, not medians, so none is shown.
  • Any subnet TAONIC has not routed a request through. For those there is no measurement here, only the index’s estimate where it gives one.
  • Revenue for any subnet outside the top three. None is reproduced here.
  • A ranking. Counts from one gateway and estimates from one index are not comparable with each other, so nothing is ranked across them.
